This adaptor is used when mounting a truck with a 1 1/4inch pipe thread spindle and the pole does not have a threaded top plug.

The adaptor is tapped for 1 1/4inch NPT and is designed to slip over the top of the pole and is secured by 3 stainless steel set screws.  This adaptor accepts any truck with the standard  1 1/4in NPT.  

This is especially helpful if a flagpole truck no longer functions and is seized inside the top of the pole so that it cannot be unscrewed.  In this case the top of the pole can be cut off, a pole top adaptor added and then a new standard 1 1/4in NPT truck (single, double external or internal types) can be installed!  

Know the outside diameter of the top of the pole to choose the correct PTA size!
